This National Highway Traffic Safety Administration revised curriculum is designed to be a comprehensive guide for those who wish to address the issues of transporting the pre-school population safely on school buses. Examine characteristics of the pre-school age population. Explore occupant protection systems used in school buses to transport infant and preschool- aged children. Gain experience in using proper securement techniques, identifying equipment maintenance, disposal, and storage issues.   In preparing this edition, NHTSA has carefully re-examined all of the content, clarified or updated much of the information from the previous edition and added a substantial amount of new information. This training is worth 6 Hours of Continuing Education Units for CPSTs.
